Vey & Associés

Before joining Vey & Associés, Maëlys worked at two UN institutions, the Office of the Prosecutor of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the international mechanism created to succeed the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. She also trained with leading criminal lawyers and worked for the Defender of Rights, where she developed her interest in human rights, discrimination law and whistleblowers, as well as in the legal department of Médecins Sans Frontières, in the international humanitarian law unit.

 

She practises mainly in international criminal law and specialises in European and international proceedings relating to the protection of human rights. She also advises individuals and companies in their transnational criminal disputes.

 

Maëlys graduated cum laude from the Paris School of Law at Sciences Po and also studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and hiking. She is also involved in the Refuges Solidaires association.
