Mathias joined Vey & Associés in April 2025 as Director of Communication Strategy & Business Development.

He has 25 years’ international experience (USA, France, Saudi Arabia) in demanding environments (listed companies among others). Mathias has held key positions covering business development, strategy, communications and crisis communications, innovation, marketing and public relations. He has a thorough knowledge of corporate governance bodies. Mathias held the position of Deputy Executive Vice-President of Communications for the ENGIE Group for several years, then Advisor to the Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors (Gérard Mestrallet) until 2018.

Mathias holds an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Fox School of Business, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. He is also graduate of the French Institut for National Defense Studies (IHEDN, 68th session).

In 2018, Mathias became Chief of Staff to Gérard Mestrallet, Chairman of AFALULA, the French Agency for the AlUla Development, as well as Director of Communications, Innovation, Marketing and Public Relations. In July 2023, Mathias became Chief of Staff to Jean-Yves Le Drian, and in 2024 he is promoted as member of the Executive Committee, Director of Tourism, Corporate Communications & Innovation. Mathias thus played an active role for 7 years in promoting French expertise in Saudi Arabia and the destination in France and internationnally and made a significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between France and Saudi Arabia.

Mathias works both in French and English
